Relating to the story of Jane eyre, is really simple, because like many of us she faces insecurity and loneliness. Jane is an orphan who is employed as a governess but is highly abused by Edward Rochester- a very rich lord. From the starting it seems like a paradoxical love, but we soon come to know that there are no transcendent barriers to this seraphic feeling.

A per-eminent poet of Iran in the medieval times, Nizami of Ganje is especially known for his romantic piece of work – “Layla and Majnun”. A lamentable tale about implausible love, Layla and Majnun is inspired by an Arab legend. For centuries it had been told and retold. Layla falls in love with Qays at the school. Everyone observes their love and soon they are stopped from seeing each other. Qays banishes himself in misery to the desert to live with and be consoled by animals. He stops eating and gets cadaverous. Because of this bizarre behavior, he becomes famous as Majnun (Madman). They are buried side by side after death. People often interpret this story as an allegory of the yearning of the soul to be united with god.

7 RHETT BUTLER AND SCARLETT O’HARA

By Far this love story is my all time favorite. “Gone with the wind” is an eternal piece of literature that had a transition to a movie difficult to forget. At first, we have this naïve but cunning Scarlett O’Hara, who thinks she fall in love with the husband of some other woman, when she is scared to face her emotions for Rhett Butler in fact. This book may not have a sequel but the ending has a hope, when the red-blooded actress says, “Tomorrow is another day”.
6 PARIS AND HELENA

This love story has no boundaries as Paris was ready to sacrifice his complete kingdom for this one woman. This heroic tale, portrayed in Homer’s Iliad narrates the story of Helen of Troy and the Trojan War. We may never know whether it is a fact or fiction, but all we know is that their love story is extraordinary.

Probably no one could ever imagine that a monk and nun would fall in love with one another, but after the love letters between Abelard and Heloise became appalling, it is actually possible. Abelard was a young man studying at school of Notre Dame. Soon, a great philosopher- Fulbert hires him. He asks Abelard to teach his niece- Heloise. Little did he know that they will fall in love deeply with each other? Fulbert castrated Abelard in his rage. The duo got separated and Eloise became a nun in her grief. However, their love letters never stopped even after this.
3 ROMEO AND JULIET

I completely appreciate the brilliance of Shakespeare, and although this love story tempestuous between Romeo and Juliet has its own significance, I can’t deny the fact it is the greatest love stories of all time. Definitely it is wonderful to see these two hopeless and young lovers who are willing to sacrifice everything in order to be together, but their story is momentary. Because of the feud between their families, they soon plan to take their lives so that they can be united ultimately in death.
2 LANCELOT AND GUINEVERE

Lancelot and Guinevere’s love story has several versions, that some actually might not know what really had happened. The one with the highest accuracy is the “Arthurial Legend” stories. Guinevere is King Arthur’s wife. She meets his knight, Lancelot and they love each other deeply. One night, the couple gets discovered. Guinevere is seized by the knights, and is killed while Lancelot flees away. Fortunately, Lancelot comes back to save her from the fire.
1 ANTHONY AND CLEOPATRA

Similar to “Gone with the wind”, the real love story of Cleopatra and Anthony is an immortal ecranisation of the most powerful couples in history. The story of these two powerful leaders is still told and retold worldwide. Take a look at what exactly is a test of love and forget about the Romeo and Juliet who were naïve. Similar to all possible love stories, their happiness was temporary. These two died of a broken heart.
